Is Ablarc still posting? I hope nothing unfortunate happened. Lrfox- Anyone tried PM-ing him? It could be a terrible nuisance and drive him further away like a nagging, over-bearing girlfriend, but I miss his posts as well. He just started posting again over at WNY so hopefully he will be back here soon as well.
Nov 06, · El Morro is in an undeveloped area, but Grants and especially Gallup, New Mexico, have many reasonably priced franchise hotels. There are several bed and breakfast inns as well as private rentals, but expect to pay significantly more.
Some just have a preference over the other. We came across a really interesting article on SheaButterLicious discussing the difference of yellow and white Shea Butter. Short, simple and to the point. First Shea butter comes in those small nuts and the color is an off white or beige or ivory kind of color. I am not going that far into the details just briefly to explain the yellow coloring. For the yellow shea butter, a root from the borututu tree is added in the milling process, and gives it that turmeric yellow color.
Some think palm oil is added to give it that yellow color but no palm oil is required to make yellow Shea butter, it goes through the same process as the white shea butter. Therefore they both have same qualities. FYI some African make a tea from the bark of the borututu tree that is said to help with liver functions. So again, the yellow and white shea butter are from the same Karite Tree but are processed differently.
The Karite tree is grown in Central and Western Africa. Kpangyan Butter is grown in Central Togo and is used for skin care.

The Samarian Hills are limestone — a permeable rock that allows water to percolate down through the cracks. Consequently, there is little surface water and deep wells are dug to reach the water stored underground. Samaria Jesus took the direct route north from Jerusalem to Galilee through Samaria, in contrast to most Jews who took the longer, indirect route east of the River Jordan through Peraea because of their hatred for the Samaritans see Map 6.
The Samaritans were descendants of the Israelites of the northern kingdom who had intermarried with foreign settlers after the fall of Samaria the capital of the northern kingdom of Israel in BC. As a result of this racial intermarriage, they were no longer considered to be truly Jewish and were hated by most Jews. The Samaritans continued to worship as the Jews did, but took only the first five books of the Old Testament as their spiritual authority.
The monastery was built in the s on the site of a late 4th century Byzantine church, which was itself succeeded by a Crusader church. Today, visitors can enter the modern church built in around what is believed to be the original well, restored by the Crusaders in the twelth century. History[ edit ] In the 18th century, as interest in the “curiosities” of the Jewish religion rose, some non-Jews had models of synagogues erected, furnished with a full array of Jewish books and ceremonial objects, and accessible to a broad public, constituting the world’s first “Jewish museums. The Jewish tradition generally places a high value on learning and study, especially of religious texts. Torah study study of the Torah and more broadly of the entire Hebrew Bible as well as Rabbinic literature such as the Talmud and Midrash is considered a religious obligation.
Since the Renaissance and the growth of higher education , many people, including people not of the Jewish faith, have chosen to study Jews and Judaism as a means of understanding the Jewish religion, heritage, and Jewish history.
Deborah Beneath the Palm Tree c. Stirred by the wretched condition of Israel she sends a message to Barak , the son of Abinoam, at Kedesh of Naphtali, and tells him that the Lord God had commanded him to muster ten thousand troops of Naphtali and Zebulun and concentrate them upon Mount Tabor, the mountain at the northern angle of the great plain of Esdraelon. Barak declines to go without the prophet. Deborah consents, but declares that the glory of the victory will therefore belong to a woman.
As soon as the news of the rebellion reaches Sisera he collects nine hundred chariots of iron and a host of people. This is the day the Lord has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the Lord gone ahead of you? As Deborah prophesied, a battle is fought led by Barak , and Sisera is completely defeated. He himself escapes on foot, while his army is pursued as far as Harosheth of the Gentiles and destroyed. Sisera comes to the tent of Jael ; and he lies down to rest. He asks for a drink; she gives him milk; and while he is asleep she hammers a tent-pin through his temple.

About Us Reshet Ramah, the alumni and community engagement initiative of the Ramah Camping Movement, is thrilled to announce RamahDate , an online dating partnership with JDate for Jewish singles affiliated with Ramah. Long associated with the establishment of enduring relationships and marriages, Camp Ramah will partner with JDate to offer Ramah alumni the opportunity to meet other Ramahniks online.
Ramah is committed to fostering strong Jewish marriages and hopes that this partnership with JDate will further their common goals for Jewish continuity. To read more about RamahDate in the press, click here. This will enable users of both RamahDate and JDate to search and filter for others displaying this badge. What if someone falsely claims to have a Ramah affiliation?
Ramah is unable to verify that an individual who signs up for RamahDate is actually a Ramah alum. It is possible that people who have no affiliation with Ramah will input false information to obtain a Ramah Badge; it is unfortunately a well-known fact that users of dating sites do provide false information on their profiles. Ramah alumni using this site will of course need to do their own checking when meeting with people who identify themselves as Ramahniks.
What if I never attended a Ramah camp or program? Unfortunately, if you never participated in a Ramah program, you are not eligible for a Ramah Badge.

A set of eighteen currently nineteen blessings called the Shemoneh Esreh or the Amidah Hebrew , “standing [prayer]” , is traditionally ascribed to the Great Assembly in the time of Ezra , at the end of the Biblical period. The name Shemoneh Esreh, literally “eighteen”, is a historical anachronism, since it now contains nineteen blessings. It was only near the end of the Second Temple period that the eighteen prayers of the weekday Amidah became standardized.
Even at that time their precise wording and order was not yet fixed, and varied from locale to locale. Many modern scholars believe that parts of the Amidah came from the Hebrew apocryphal work Ben Sira. According to the Talmud , soon after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem a formal version of the Amidah was adopted at a rabbinical council in Yavne , under the leadership of Rabban Gamaliel II and his colleagues.
However, the precise wording was still left open.
