Please view the trailer below: How did you become interested in filmmaking? My love affair with movies began when I was a young girl in the Middle East. My parents would take me to the video rental store once a week, and I would just watch and study movie after movie all weekend long. I never went to film school. My self-education began in middle school with my close relationship to the family-VHS recorder that I hijacked for making my short films. Something about movies just completely enthralled me.
I would get lost in the stories, and the characters especially. My dream was to be able to create the thing that I loved most. So, here I am. What has the reaction been like so far? Nowadays, gratuity and fake publicity seem to be able to catapult just about anyone into the spotlight, so I wrote the series as a satire that tackles the phenomenon in smart and entertaining way. So it was very important for me to create characters that were interesting and a story that had a compelling arch.
And teaming up with TelloFilms.

A border dispute between Newtown and Bushwick lasted over a hundred years, into the period when the English were ruling and settling Long Island. Ridgewood In , a reservoir was constructed on the Newtown-Bushwick border that supplied water to the City of Brooklyn. The water flowed through a series of canals and aqueducts across Jamaica, originating at the Ridgewood Ponds, in what is today the town of Wantagh in Nassau County.
The land in the vicinity of the reservoir was officially called South Williamsburgh at this time. Desiring a unique identity for their area, residents adopted the name of the reservoir for their town. In , the name Ridgewood was officially bestowed upon the entire area nestled between Glendale and Bushwick. However, traces of the old Evergreen name still exist today. The Evergreen Branch of the LIRR once passed through the area, and remains of it can still be found in Ridgewood if you look carefully.
Evergreen Avenue, once a part of ancient Bushwick Road hence its slight twists and turns leads right to Cemetery of the Evergreens.

Rebecca told a story of running away with a friend and telling both the police in Bangor and Gwynedd Social Services of terrible physical and sexual abuse of children in the commune, only to be taken into care for a short while and then returned to her abusers. Mr Webb, a laser consultant, and Miss Teacher admitted demanding the money, but said it was to compensate her for years of suffering. She made the calls after her efforts to sue her father and her attempts to alert the authorities to her plight failed.
The issue was not whether the allegations of abuse were true, but whether the blackmail demands were warranted. Miss Teacher was born into the sect and the court was told that she was beaten and sexually abused until her mother and Mr Webb left the group when she was aged The Teachers were a community who lived on a farm at Tregarth. Wales was heaving with hippies, communes and alternative people at the time and many of them were making things — crafts, clothes, jewellery etc — which they would sell.
The Teachers were rather different in that they had a shop in Bangor and a rather strange shop at that.

By Julianna Joyce Now under the thumb of fame, the two friends start to realize that stardom may not be all it’s chalked up to be. Inklings of feelings between the two friends spark jealousy, and scandals threaten to undo the fame they finally achieved. Season two moves at a faster pace than season one, but nothing is lost in the translation of speed. The characters are still easy to relate to, the show is incredibly enjoyable and in the fast-paced, bite sized episodes, Selbak is able to delve deeper into establishing the character’s personalities.
The outcome is a truly fun to watch mini series with the wit and charm of a large scale television production. The highlight of the show is Selbak’s commentary on media, portrayal and lesbianism. Rather than fall into simple tropes of lesbian and bisexual characters, Selbak creates multi-faceted characters whose personalities extend far beyond their sexuality, and she is also able to showcase the diversity in queer identity, even though there are only a few key charcaters.
Furthermore, the characters have personalities outside of their sexuality. Kiss Her I’m Famous is not a show purely about the objectification of the female body. Yes, there is inherent sexuality with the sex tape, but the focus of the show is not to showcase their sexuality.
